Contractors on Federal projects should be aware of the origin of lockers sold in this country, ostensibly of domestic manufacture. Some products while packaged and shipped from US points of origin are in fact largely manufactured overseas and will not meet the requirements of the Buy American Act. Such brand names include ASI, Lightning and Keystone.
Another producer, Interior Medart® produces lockers that contain about 75% domestic steel content but this will not meet the Federal requirement.
The major US locker producers are Republic, Lyon, Penco, List-Hallowell, De Bourgh and Tennsco. Canadian producers are GSS, Hadrian, Lincora, and Shanahan. To the best of my knowledge all of these lockers will meet the Buy American standards.

Yard Ramps, also called Portable Loading Ramps or Portable Loading Docks, are a safe and cost effective answer to many loading dock challenges. Bluff Manufacturing is one of the leading manufacturers of Yard Ramps in the material handling industry.
Most yard ramps perform one of two functions. They carry traffic from the ground up into a truck bed or from the dock level down to the ground. Which of these jobs you choose to do will dictate which of the designs will be most appropriate for your application. A stationary loading dock yard ramp is set in place at a loading dock when it is unloaded from the trailer. It is secured to the dock by chains or optional dock chain brackets. A portable loading dock yard ramp, also known as a “mobile loading dock ramp” is moved into position at trailers, railcars or temporary docks allowing you to unload freight where no permanent dock exists or where dock bays may be unavailable.
Which ever option you chose, Bluff’s standard design translates into a custom solution that is quickly delivered to your job site and lasts for many years. Sit back and enjoy the video to learn about the loading and unloading of these material handling solutions.
